Hello , I have recently moved to shields from Bath , i have always fished , from the River Avon to Flammer 3 out of Weymouth . I have fished many marks over the winter with minor success as the "big one " has eluded me . Now i keep finding my self returning to Marsdon beach . i think it might just be the view and the peace and quiet . I want to try lure fishing now the cod are on the move , has any one any advice on the right hand side of the rock when the tide is out ?
Or to be honest any other advise on where to chuck a lure over the next few months . thanks for all the good advise i have read over the past few months with out signing up , so i am here now . if you ever meet a fisherman with a west country accent then i pretty sure it will be me

Welcome to Nesa and Shields, I have never fished the right hand side of the rock to be honest but have fished the a little bit further south at the wherry with some success, Look in the lure fishing section there is some good info in there camel island is worth a shot for LRF have a look about at low tide

Welcome aboard mate, not sure about the south side of the rocks but the north side is a good flounder mark, straight n front of the grotto, cast about 20yards. There are loads of marks between Marsden and south shields where you could get bass, cod, pollock, Coley, mackerel to name a few. Check out the maps on my signature and try any of the marks between south shields and Marsden. And get yourself along to the next lure meet its only the second on we've organized so we are all just getting to know each other.
