I'm getting one for the spring Looking forward to getting out once i have all the safety gear and have been out a few times without the rods to get used to climbing back on after my tumbles
If you fancy one get yourself to Moonfleet in Gateshead to have a look at the range and have a sit in a few.Last edited by Blanked again; 06-12-2012, 08:59 AM.Tight lines

Only started targeting pollock this year in the yak and have found them by adapting shore methods. Reefs/wrecks and around the rock edges produce, in deeper water they are sometimes well off the bottom ,those fish pictured were hooked 20/30 ft off the bottom in 70ft of water ,so locating them is part of the skill as is putting your lures where they are with the movement that works so a bit of trial and error involved no rules cast in stone.Even had a 7lb pollock bottom fishing with mussel anchored up in 60ft of water off Newbiggin strange This next year i intend to scale down my gear and target all species using the methods i have been reserching on various sites should be interesting and fun , have had 16 species this year in the yak mainly on bait though several on lures ,so the potential in a yak is amazing.Hope you get sorted with a yak as this is the time of year for buying, that scupper pro on AA with the sounder is a cracking buy thats the yak i use ,your welcome to try mine if it helps you decide which yak to get as will the other yakers in this area of which there are many,cheers................Dave.
