well, ive been lookin forward to this challenge, bought al my gear, jig moulds, new rods etc,and in 1 fell swoop,im 6 weeks behind, fractured thumb at weekend,my luck,i could fall in a barrel of breasts and come oot sucking my thumb, lol
Well this week I've packed away what I'll laughingly call my Cod gear - YT gear is much nearer the mark, and raked the spinning gear out.
I've cobbled together enough for my first plodge. Flounder the weekend target, with a weighted jig-head and some plastics I think. Anyone managed to catch one using this method? If that fails (highly likely I think) then out comes the gulp ragworms.
Do these count as lures or are they considered bait?

lures in my book mate. Never managed a flounder yet but I'll be giving it a go. Just need the sea to calm down and clear again.
