OK lads think ive managed to suss out the posting and stuff an time to introduce myself properly..
I'm from west Scotland been fishing most of my life mostly fresh water species salmon pike etc bait lure and the odd fluff chuck..but also well Kent in the Codding east coast and bass Pollock from the sw Scotland and the big lochs etive long and fyne for for conger thornies and such like but most of the year were chasing salmon pike & seatroot and bass .cod in winter Arbroath but last few year been dire ..
I'm not a specialist lure angler or distance caster I'm an angler full stop but 95% of my fishing now is with lure or fluff as gear goes yes going is good but after being around the tackle trade a few year I tend to just find the gear that works for me too easy to get caught up in advertising which just wastes valuable rod time
I've caught some crack in fish over the years big salmon cod smoothies pike ferox thornback conger but a just Cannae anchor maself for that these days I like on the move fishing cover plenty water death defying perching on an battered out crop rock hopping my way to Valhalla
Most of the lure fishing wee do is in sw Scotland and well versed around the solway but find it hard to find time to see how certain areas fish at tide state as am too busy casting somewhere else I didn't get as much time on the solway this year but still cupola trips to do yet so any fellas the same like minded who fishes this area in general out there give us a shout
Rod for me my trusty 4pc whisker 9ft paired with shimano DL 4000 30lb braid
Lures and plugs the usual suspects redgills off the fly is fun and not afraid to take a dunk in the name of conservation so that kinda gives a quick bit of what a do
One last tip confidence in a lure is the best lure on the market
