    [QUOTE=10g - 30g with either a 3000 or 4000 Rarenium......?[/QUOTE]

    Go for the 4000 rarenium , the 3000 has a very shallow spool , you would empty it every cast using a 8"6 ft or 9ft rod

      Does the 3000 not come with spare spool?? Thought all top end models came with one?

            Luremasters are closing down and have some deals to be had. The rods are 20% off and the lures 30% https://www.luremasters.com. The offers are not shown on the website you need to look online, write your list and then phone them on 07595 596 118 for the offer price.

            Not sure if the reels are also discounted, but they do stock Patches and IMA lures as well as a selection of SP's and Tenryu rods.

                What are people's views on the Grauvell Teklon range of rods?

                  They're not bad rods for the money. But if ur gona spend £100 on a lure rod I'd look at a major craft solpara

                    i use a teklon concept, good rod, well worth the money.

                    The new version looks like a baby branzino

                      Rarenium 3000 Front Drag

                      No need to go any bigger than the 3000 shallow spool in my opinion.

                      Will take a full spool (135mt) of 7.5kg Varivas PE Braid which I reckon is ideal. I tend to use Varivas 365 fluoro, available from Veals.

                      Rod class 10-30g is plenty heavy enough
