I've had a couple the trust old 28g Zenith, had one on a daylite of the kayak last summer as well, so i'm pretty sure they'll hit most lures. The thing to remember is where the wrasse are holding! these fish will be sat among the rocks, so i would target them with a weedless lure and bounce it off the rocks. I was watching so video clips a while back of divers up at St Abbs, the lads were tapping and scratching the rocks and the wrasse were swimming right up to have a look. So try and bounce off as much structure as you can.
Happy to help, Keen to learn!

I've been diving and when you bang a rock off mussel beds etc wrasse will come in and pick up the bits that have been smashed off with the rocks.... Makes for some cracking underwater photos! I've not personally had any on a lure but they hit baits quite hard so I'm sure they would hit a lure in the right circumstances

I can remember reading that Wrasse can be quite particular with colours, favouring certain colours at certain times. Greens, Blues, Purples and Browns are allegedly the favoured colours to use according to Some blogs. Not had much success with Wrasse on lures myself, something I'm hoping to change this year. Don't let the Zenith fool you, Phil could catch Chickens on a Zenith Spinner! Lol

Fiish minnows really do work, but wrasse tend to mangle them. Not a cheap option unless you find someone you makes look a likes.
