I was out today down Blyth pier, hoping that it wouldn't have been too affected by the freshwater from the recent rain and be able to start of my lure species list. Water was still very coloured and the dredger was working the area so it was very hard going. I had one bite on a lure that didn't connect and one small coley on a bit of black lug. Others were doing equally as bad
glad to here it mate, nowt like a bit of competition to keep it interesting
i was too busy chasing big pollock last season to concentrate on other fish, this season is all about species including that illusive wrasse. And maybe some more big pollock.
I think my tiny pollack may turn out to be a coalie lol.
A little flounder came up to the surface but I couldn't get a rig in front of it quick enough before it went back down again, first time I've seen a flattie do that.
