I can't wait for my fishing season to start, I don't know how many species I'll catch but I expect to destroy last years tally lol.
Seriously I've become a bit obsessed with species hunting since I started fishing a few years ago although it's usually been abroad. I just like to hook something different even if its just a few inches long.
I'm currently on 76 types of fish hoping to make it 100 this year. It's an excuse for a holiday in the sun.Species 2012.
Uk. Codling,whiting,
Lanzarote. Scorpionfish,damselfish,red grouper,dusky grouper,red bream,white bream,red snapper,vermillion snapper,ornate wrasse,

Ha
I don't have a clue where to start fishing around our coastline so it will be fun trying out a few locations. I really don't know where to start and only ever messed around on Steetly and our boat fleet is hardly known for its numerous species. A pollack or a haddock is an exotic catch lol.Species 2012.

Thanks for that.
Could anyone tell me of places to go up Scotland with a good chance of catching conger. My Dad and uncle( Fred who often skippers the Famous) used to go to Whithorn but I've read reports that its a bit fished out.
Basically as I want as many species as possible any info about Britain's shoreline would be great especially places that hold the rays and small sharks like Huss and smoothhounds.Species 2012.
