Hard graft in those conditions,put it this way,the dry flies stayed in the box!

4 poonder on a titchy orange hares ear,spooned an earlier fish to see what they were feeding on and all that was in its stomach were little freshwater shrimps
well done. I,m still getting the fly fishing sorted. Spooned last fish and it stomach was empty except black gunk so he must have been hungry.
My aim this season is to catch a fish on a dry fly--i have only really been successful with lures.
Well its Hawthorn time Mick so get yersel some black leggy dries.Theres normally loads of them get blown onto the Derwent Res and the fish gan mad for them,good luck mate!
