  • Took the plunge !

After wondering whether to give it a try or not, I have bought myself one of those Airflo Fly Fishing beginners kits and I am dying to tryit out. I have had a go at casting on the grass but think it would be best if I had some proper tuition. Planning to book a morning course at Derwent so lets see how it goes.

    cheers..aa.

Hook your first rainbow trout on a fly mate, and you'll want to go back again and again !!
        Good luck.

I started fly fishing at the Derwent and the lads are spot on. Clive gave me a few tips-he is one of rangers who teaches. I picked up most of my casting from watching other anglers and trial and error. Derwent is only 4 mile away from my home so dead handy. Love going up fishing and when you get the casting right its top dollar. 4LB rainbow on a light outfit gives fight of life,
            Mick. (Consett).

Rather eat my shoe Duncan or even a Flounder out the Tyne.
