can anybody tell me if barmston pond has been took over , i heard it did last year and they were going to put pegs in and a jetty , i also heard that its getting stocked with trout and pike ? i went yesterday to look , nowts been done still the same old pond ,.

I think things have been put on hold pending planning permission.
the owners i am led to believe are those who own Foxponds trout puddle (Birtley).

theres a few finicky issues regarding the enviromental people to be ironed out but yes it will be opening as a trout fishery with some big pike stocked. pontoons to be built also.
