i have recently got myself a rod (daiwa ospreywf7-9) and got my self and intrepid rimfly reel one loaded with wf9 and another with dt7. i have been watching youtube video and have so far managed to practice the cast(10-2) and seem to be able to sort of cast . for my next step , i plan to buy a day licence from the po and try a lake nearby. i dont have much cash for travel so was looking at sharpley at seaham or fox ponds. what sort of fly do i need to buy for mar apr to target trout from a lake ? can someone help me . i am clueless with regards to freshwater fishing. i have seem some fly selcetions on ebay like bread fly or hares ears. are these any good? is there any pointers
