Ell, on a more serious note.
You can take rainbows from any fishery that remains open after the dates you mention. All Brown trout must be returned to the water after September 30th, it does not matter where you are fishing in England they must be returned alive.
Sharpley\'s good during the winter months.
If people think you are an idiot, why speak and remove all doubt !

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

Mark, If you haven\'t got anything constructive to say then please keep your thoughts to yourself. It\'s this kind of flippant reponse that keeps a lot of members from posting and hence being ejected from our thing (Mafia) as my great Granda used to say.

Charlie, I think Sless is right, there used to be flood lighting but Ive fished there late on many occassions and never seen them switched on. I wouldn\'t want to fish Sharpley in the dark during the winter as Ive found the fishing gets worse as the temperature drops i.e when the light fades.

Patterns, I would stick to: Blood Worms, larger black Buzzers (size 10 & 12), blobs and small black or brown PTN\'s.

Sharpley gets hammered with Lures and Blobs 8hrs a day every day so I have always had more success with the more imative patterns, what ever time of year it is.......please note, I am not in protest to lure fishing, it has saved me many of blanks!

                    Hope this is useful

Ps I would always consider Kiplin Hall or Bellflask for winter fishing!

                    Cheers
                    James

The floodlight fishing was at Sharpley old waters, but is no longer.

YoursTerrerly, a while back I remember asking about lessons at Sharpley, If we ever meet up over a still fresh water I\'d be most interested in your opinions on my home grown casting style. Apparently I\'m gifted (I do have excellent hand eye co-ordination and am extremely intelligent) Do you do the Spey Casting thing as well? If that big fat arrogant overcompetitive lump of Botham can do it (Badly from what I\'ve seen, and with his access to prime waters) I\'m sure I can do it thrice as well. Tell sort me out m8. 8 salmon next year will suffice.
