Killingworth Lake

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has fished killingworth lake recently, either the big lake or small one?
Is it worth fishing at this time of year?
Just looking for silverfish and perch for a quick lunchtime session if it’s worth it.

ah reckon plugging for pike would be your best shot this time of year mate

Might try that then, saves wasting time going for any bait too. Do you know if there are many perch in there? Might try some drop shotting for them too.

many years since I fished it mate but it used to be full of perch and jack pike with the odd biggin hoyed in.

The small lake had loads of pike and a canny stamp of fish but a canny bit weed.

yeah thats the lake i used to fish, never fished the biggin. Other species were crucians, dace, roach, gudgeon, bream and there was also some brown trout.
