      thanks for the welcome jim i hope so mate used to fish there in the summer monts then back to the beach in late september lol

        we drove from seaham up to tunstall on monday read notice saying day permits at wolsingham post office drove back down to let them say no we dont sell them lol

                if i go anywhere and not sure where to get a day permit, i just go along to the water and there is nearly always somebody there fishing who you can ask. Thats if there is not a machine or a kiosk. The other way is to start fishing and wait until somebody turns up and hopes he believes you when you expalin you have not got a permit because you dont know where to get one. Most places should at least have a sign saying where to get one.
                Phoning the loacl tackle shop is also a good bet or even the Environment Agency
