  • Moor Side North Yorkshire

Been down there this weekend, lovely warm sunshine unfortunately it seemed to put the carp off. But i did get a first taking a 15lb common on a floating pellett nothing unusual in that except when the fish took the pellett, the pellett was two feet from the end of my rod tip and four inches from the bank side. You should have seen the blighter strip line off once it knew it was caught. BLOODY HELL was the shout. :P

had another smaller one on ledgered pellett and lost another two, but altogether fishing was very slow, the regulars where saying it had been slow for a while, even the tench and silver fish where not biting. Cant blame commercial fishing either.

It\'s great when they\'re that close,I mean why cast 100 yds+ every time

Tat your right there - i have often wondered when watching the likes of John Wilson or Matt Hayes , they always take great care to cast \"just below that tree \" on the opposite bank ,telling us that its a perfect cast , but if they were on that side they would then try and cast to the bank there on in the first place - Still good watching them mind you , but S`pose just dropping a bait 2 foot in front of you would`nt have the same appeal on the telly
