thinking of fishing it saturday,if my m8 can get time off. i,ll be legering with worm. if its good where,s the best plces? used to fish scaling dam but giving that a miss this yr, as last was a waste of time, seems to be rubbish since pike showed up

Keith do you know if your allowed to fish for the pike - would gladly pay for two tickets ,one for dead baiting and the other to fly fish, problem would still remain though after hopefully catching a pike or two ,cos they would be put back

you cant fish for the pike but can use multi bait tacktics for the trout.

yes you can fish for pike at scaling dam-
Scaling also contains a population of pike which are growing year on year, these can be targeted by the pike fly angler, or by more traditional methods. If you wish to fish with large plugs or dead baits ask at the lodge for a £10 pike permit.
