a couple of days down at welham

well here is my latest from welham me and the bairn just had a 48 hour sesion on the dam wall the 1st night we had nothing all the fish seemed to be infront of stalking and 11 12 . the next day we had a walk along to peg 10 with the floater gear there was loads of fish near the corner of the island . so i used a trimmed down dna slk pop up as bait and spodded some mixers out the fish were going mad for them the spomb crashing on the water didnt spook them at all . any way laura had a nice common after a little while after about an hour i had a good take it ripped loads of line of but i eventually got it about 4 rod lenths out and it spat the hook out story of my life but if nothing else i had a good battle any way at tea time we went back to the dam wall and put our baits back out at about 7 ish i had a screaming run which resulted in a nice 14lber then that was it untill 6ish this morn when i got a nice 15lb12 oz common on a slk popup trimmed down on a zig setup then about an hour or so later whilst visiting the little boys room laura started shouting for me so i ran over and she had a 13lb common in the net with my zig and her zig in its mouth so we sort of both caught it
