Just bought a packet of Fulling Mill Magic circle hooks. Supposedly there is no need to strike, as the fish set the hook themselves. Also, no deeply hooked trout. I\'ve not had the chance to get out yet, but tied up a few this evening so hoping to get out on Thursday night to try them out.
I\'d be interested to know how you get on with them.
I tried some last year for tying Boobies, and you\'re right about one thing - no deep hook ups. In fact no hook ups at all - I got takes OK, but couldn\'t nail a thing.
Mind you that happens sometimes with ordinary hooks, so maybe it was just one of those days. Lost faith in them though, so haven\'t tried them since. Might give give them a go - especially if you bag up with them
