this flooding must be a pain also all the fertilizer that has been washed into the rivers and other chemicals

Well lads.
Well Billy m8 all this flood water is giving all hard bottom fishing areas hell at the moment as i fished the caans on tuesday and other areas and inshore wrecks and not a cod in site but plenty of whitey/s scotch haddock and coalies but nothing else as the water is too murky and too much fresh water getting in the sea of the land through the rivers and i only wish it would just clear away as its spoiling the boat fishing so hope things change soon.

You had other species that live in the same environment.Could it not be that there are no Cod around at the moment
The fresh water wouldn,t effect the deeper water anyway as it floats on top of salt and would be well diluted by the time it is offshore around the wrecks.
