  • Good day at the local pond

Started off with size 18 and 2lb bottom about 10.30 ish.
Caught a few small roach to about 12oz,then float just went.Had it on about 5 mins, then wrapped around a branch and snapped. Can't put much pressure on with a bottom that size.
Next cast smashed on the strike,so up graded to 4lb and size 16.Nowt for about 45 mins then bingo ,float away,7lb mirror.
    Recast got a text,looked,rod out of rest,gone.
Next cast putting groundbait out float gone missed it.
Back to roach and perch again
Actually not such a good day,but enjoyed it.
Have to wait for someone to do the foto's
Well I've got them on my pictures.but I can't get them any further.

I don't normally do carp fishing as you can see by the original set up,that was just a bonus.I normally do silvers.

i've been doing a fair bit of local pond fishing. Had some very good days on silvers, and had a snap off on the method feeder (10lb hooklength) after a 15 min battle (assumingly a good carp as i dont think theirs anything else in their to do that) and i got a bit inpatient when it decided to head to the other bank and applied a bit much pressure on the spool :/ bollocks lol. But the sivers have been daft sometimes with the float not cocking for 15 or so fish upto 0.5lb.

Would you mind PMing me where you been fishing and maybes helping me out in what i'm doing, i've just got into it the past 4 weeks after dabbling a little last year at a friends lake.
