Wouldn\'t mind coming along as long as it\'s not too far north, and the date fits in.
Any idea when it\'s likely to take place?
Also would personally prefer a larger still-water venue, but I\'m not too fussed about it.

            Cheers

I know its not a big lake, but for more of a social atmosphere, Higham Lakes just outside Ponteland is accessible, and could be booked out if there was enough interest.

If a big water is what people want, why not try Derwent Reservoir,it looks fairly central to those in the norh and south of the region. And it\'s a pretty good place to fish.Only 1 problem,it\'s CHUFFIN\' massiiiiiiiive.

true its big, but most of the fish sit off a 500 yard stretch on one bank!

derwent is great for me for once, just over the hill

drive past the entrance to the sailing club and park in the layby/grass verge 100 yards or so further on, hop over the fence and its all of 100yards to the water. this shoreline for another 500 yards or so away from the club is alway the best bit, but......It gets busy....very busy, according to Northumbria water it was the busiest trout fishery in England last year

with the nights getting lighter one of the best times to fish it can be early evening, the water looks like someones dropping marbles from a helicopter there\'s that much rising

aye sless, go round the bend where the cronkley turn off is and the sailing club is 500yards further on.

Derwent sounds fine to me, only hope I can make it.
I\'ve only fished it once and that was years ago.
Where do you get the tickets from? I understand there\'s a new fishing lodge etc, but can\'t find much info on the web.
                              Cheers
