Just as matter of interest, how far will you travel for a day\'s fishing?
I live in Halifax, but have a caravan near Dumfries, so fish in that area a lot, and last year I was fishing at Broom, near Annan, and ran into a lad from Newcastle who fished it every week.
Talked to another couple of lads from Workington who were regulars, and then ran into the same two at Stocks Reservoir in Lancashire a couple of weeks later - also someone from North Wales who made the trip fairly often.
I fished Coldingham a lot when I had a van up near Berwick, and a lot of anglers from Newcastle and southwards fished there.
Looks like quite a few people are willing to put up with a fair long drive for a days fishing.
