FISHING REPORT 24/11/11
Warm temperatures are still keeping the fish in the surface layers the margins especially attracting a lot of fish. So floating lines and smaller patterns still seem to be catching most fish and casting parallel to the banks seems to be the tactics
Jack Noble of Eppleby caught a nice resident rainbow of 10lb on an Olive Zonker, this a fish resident under an overhanging tree that has been stalked by many anglers. William Jones of Northallerton caught 12 fish on Beetle patterns his best a nice Brown trout of 6lb. Simon Stevens of Darlington caught a Rainbow of 9lb among 9 fish he caught the majority falling to Hopper and beetle patterns. Sarah Johnson of Thirsk on her first visit to the lakes caught 12 fish including three Brown trout up to 4lb.
Best Flies :-Black or Olive Zonkers, Shipman's , CDC Hopper, Black spiders, Mini cats whiskers, Beetles, Gold Head, Damsel
