    am lookung for a venue to fly fish for pike.
    is the qe2 asington bait only.
    20 miles from durham.

    any info guys never fly fished for pike so want to give it a go

      Would you not be prepared to travel a bit? The borders have some great venues, you will get great sport.
      Have you got access to a boat or float tube?

        no jim never fished for pike before just wanted to give it a go before getting stuck in.

          Ok mate,
          Obvioiusly fishing from the bank would restrict you a bit if it's big waters. There's a water I fish regular using dead baits and always catch on lures, even from the bank. you just have to adapt, Wade out as far as you can, use a rod for hoofing them out and a lure that want's to be hoofed out. Salmo slider 10cm version is normally the winner.
