  • Personal best Carp :)

Hello all, i get abit sick of catching flatties from the beaches sometimes so i like a bit of coarse fishing aswell.. Was mainly just catching small roach along with a few bigger ones, just a bit of fun. But as i was watching my float i seen something ALOT bigger than anything else ive seen in there take to the surface. So i decided to attempt to catch it, using just free lined bread. What an awesum fight it gave me!

Some of you might think this is a little carp compared to some of your own pb's but this is the best fish iver ever caught and im very pleased with myself.

Would just like to know a guesstimate on how heavy you think this fish is, ive no idea, since i never took my scales with me. What do you think?

Just like to add, im sorry for not using an unhooking matt, i tried my best to be as gentle as possible so please dont give me any grief

Nice looking carp that mate, seen one out a couple of weeks ago from a pond which i fish which looked quite similar to that.
just out of curiosity where do you get it from and would say the fish is probably 4 to 6lb but i am not the best at guessing weights from pictures without actually holding the fish.

Good solid carp about 6 pound maybe a bit less. Looks like a hybrid but definitely more ghostie.

Any were between 5lb - 7lb maybe a tad more
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught

lovely looking ghost/koi hybrid... if you dont mind me asking, where was the pond?
i would guess a good 8, im a sea angler myself and find the carp are alot heavier and thicker than they look!
