FISHING REPORT 04/07/11
Warm conditions have made the fishing a bit harder this week. Still plenty of fish showing on the surface but are difficult to tempt during the middle of the day. Morning and early evening have produced the best results
Nigel Dawson of Wingate caught a Rainbow of 11lb on a Black Buzzer, one of 11 fish he caught in a 4 hour session. Michael Smith of Darlington caught a 15lb Rainbow on a Dawsons Olive. Peter Williamson landed 18 fish his best 9lb on a selection of Buzzers and Dry flies . Two nice carp caught this week Tom Carrol caught a Mirror carp of 24lb and David Leak landed a 20lb Common
The fishery is now open from 8am – 8 pm 7 days a week
The best flies this week were Cats Whiskers, CDC shipmans, Diawl Bach, Dawsons Olives, Gold head Damsels, CDC Hoppers, Hares Ears and mini lures.
