Hi, I need to replace my floating line (size 8 WF). Can't remember what make my original line was, but after being fine at first, it now 'coils' quite badly. Having said that I have used it for the last four seasons or so.
I don't want to pay a fortune - up to £30 or thereabouts. Anyone reccomend a brand for this price ?
and pm the pirate i have 2 lines and they are the dogs for the price he even gives you superglue and braided loops
they are nearly as good as my snowbee xs which i paid 45 quid for practically no memory

I get all my lines off this bloke and they are top class go on the fourm and look at the reviews by the lads on there
I have just bought my second one of these lines, also ordered another 7 for mates as I recomend them that much,
works out at just under £30 delivered I ordered one thursday moning and they all arrived 1 week later, These lines are £55 quid at glasgow angling plus the postage,
Also they are made by rio for sage so cant say fairer than that
hi baz,
my pal carl swears by his greys grxi and for 20 quid you can't go far wrong. I personally use and have done for the past 6 or 7 years a snowbee xs floater. they cast really well and are like silk in the hand, no worries with regard to coiling/memory and thats after a long cold winter in the shed and still on ther reel! I know some people have issues with the snowbee lines longevity but if you clean it 2 or 3 times throughout the season with the line slik that comes with the line you've no probs (i'm still only on my second one) . yes they're 35 37ish quid but pure quality i did try one of those airflo ridge floaters a couple of years ago and i can say with all honesty it was bloody terrible was like fishing with a washing line and even after a good stretch would not sit straight in the water, avoid at all cost
just to shoot off on a tangent m8 i have a boat trip booked out of craster on sunday 24th apr(bank holiday weekend). sure its only 20 quid a head.....................if you've nowt better to do m8.................... drop me a pm
