Hi all new to the forum, so please excuse me if ive posted in the wrong section.
Recently moved into the area [3 years ago] am originally from york. I`m looking for some good coarse river fishing in the area? i have fished the weir at durham a couple of times, but was trying to find some alternatives. I love fishing fast waters for Chub & Barbel & spent most of my childhood on the Nidd & swale in yorkshire. If anyone could give me any recomendations i would be most grateful.

Hi Eddie, thanks for the welcome, i live in Peterlee. Have asked in the local tackle shop they pointed me in the direction of the weir @ durham. Found it very patchy there, did ok first trip [one barbel] next trip with a bit of extra water running out, not even a bite
