Gonna fish Derwent this Sunday fished it many times but wondering what flies and tactics other people use there and where you fish, It'll be nice to to build up a picture and pick up tips as to how you fish it, I've been fly fishing many years but don't know it all and always nice to have a bit more knowledge on the subject.
Here's my tip for quick fly change. I allways tie my leaders up before I go and use Mustad Snap Hooks, Size Medium, this size is ideal for lures and small wets and saves from cutting off and then tying flies back on which in some conditions can be a hassle. Also as you know trout can be temperamental one day they're throwing themselves on the hook and the next day they just don't want to know, so if anyone catches a talking trout I'll buy it off you as long as it's still alive.
