there is another lake next to the right of the noose called the albert and alice it used to be a double only lake (well one of them did) then they knocked through and made 1 lake then there is another lake a bit further up called the killing lake people normally go up here first and get the fish for the table then they fish the other lakes as all fish fromthat lake must be killedCod machine

Yeah the big lake straight outside the lodge is the doxford, and like the prvious poster said the one behind is the albert and alice, and the lake up the top is the cuthbert and like he says is a killing lake so no fishing it if you are on catch and release, also just thought I would mention the hangmans is dry fly and nymph only (no lures)

Hello Garry mate, was nice to catch up with you last week, glad you had a good time and caught fish. The hangmans is no longer the specimen lake, the speciman lake is now the Albert & Alice, which has more doubles in than the Doxford, The Noose is the small one and is considered a novices lake, and as previously said, the top lake (cuthbert) is kill only.
Just thought i would mention, if you are on a killing ticket, your first fish must be killed regardless of which lake you caught it on
