Must have been the coldest day so far, there was frost on the cars in Mickleton, not a cloud in the sky.
Only 5 anglers were on the water all day, I fished the opposite bank by the white post.
I thought it was going to be one of those days, it took me till 11 to get the first fish, a blue around 2lb. Then frustration set in, I got another 3 fish and lost them all within the last 10 feet, all coming of the hook just as I was lining up the net.
The afternoon picked up, I got another 3 blues and 2 rainbows, all 2lb to 2.5lb, and I packed up about 5.
Wasn't a bad day all in all, it warmed up when the sun got out and I even managed to get the heavy coat off for a few hours on the afternoon, and a few fish to eat and give away too.
I was using pink glitter power bait with a 50cm hook length to a feeder with magic dust.
