Sorry, I meant Saturday the 27th March.
My first ever trout fishing session, and I don't think it could have gone better.
Tackle used:
12ft match rod, 5lb line, 3lb hook link. ˝oz weight.
(Fly rod for about 2 hours, I need more practice)
Bait:
Using hair-rigged powerbait and a worm hooked onto a size 12 and popped up 18 inches from bottom.
We arrived at roughly 8.15 am and were fishing about 20 minutes later as we chose a spot close to the car park.
I just missed my bag limit by one fish, the heaviest being a 4.8lb Rainbow Trout and the lightest a 1.8lb Blue Trout.
All in all a great day, and I can't wait to go again.
My only question is, why all the bite alarms?
Sorry no pictures, I checked everything except my battery power.
