got to sharpley around 1.10, followed by Paul and Andy, then 5 mins later Shaun, we had the obligatory coffee and tab and a good natter and laugh with davey and Gary.
About 1.50 Andy disappeared, Paul said he had went on the doxy so Paul followed then me about 10 mins later, YES Shaun was still at the lodge, for about an hour nearly lol.
Windy at the doxy where me and Paul were, Andy had found a decent place to be.I missed 1 take which was on a diawl bach, then nowt.
Andy moved onto the Noose, follwed by Paul, i stayed on the doxy for a while longer but to no avail.
I went to the Noose but there was only Andy there, Paul had went to the Albert and Alice, i fished the noose for a while, and looked over onto the Albert and Alice and seen Shaun was into a fish, didnt see it so dont know the size. Me and Andy went onto the Albert and Alice, i stayed right up on the left end of the lake for about 45 mins, didnt even see a fish, but i did see gary Prest land 1, he was fishing beside Paul. I moved down a bit facing Andy then i seen Gary land another.Then we decided it was coffee time again.We stayed at the lodge about 30 mins or so then back to the fishing, me and Paul tried the Albert and Alice again for about 45 mins but got nowt, think Paul missed a take there, so we moved to the dry fly lake where it was windy as f*ck, so I stayed and Paul went onto the Noose with Andy and Shaun. It started turning dark and i missed a take, couldnt see my fly so didnt see the fish approach for the take.Out went a black daddy which hadnt been on the surface more than 10 secs when it was taken by a trout i landed approx 1 1/2 lb.fished for about another 1/2 hr by which time it was really dark.Paul shouted up that they were packing up, so we packed up and went to the lodge where Andy and Shaun had made us a cuppa. Final score of the day, 1 fish each for me and Shaun, Andy and Paul on a blank, very hard days fishing.
We have arranged to go next saturday on a full day ticket, so i imagine we will be there from about 6.30 am til around 8 pm.On this ticket we are allowed to kill 3 fish IF we can catch any.Anyway we are all looking forward to it, and anyone wanting to join us please feel free, that DEFO means you young BOB mate.
