This winter sees the start of a new inter fishery league.
Six top North east fisheries, ALDIN GRANGE, WEST HOUSE TROUT LAKES, HIGHAM, CHATTON, STONEBRIDGE and SHARPLEY will send a team to compete with each other over a series of six matches. The league has been supported by SONIK rods.
The winning team will recieve £1000 cash plus SONIK rods and a trophy. The leading individual angler will recieve a trophy. It is anticipated that this league will be an annual event and entries from other fisheries for next years league are wellcome.
Some of the leading trout anglers in the North east will feature in the teams including a number of England Internationals such as Peter Appleby, Chris Micallef and Simon Robinson and fierce competition is anticipated between the teams.
