got to sharpley around 12.50, had a coffee and a natter to Davey who works there and also to Terry Woods until Paul (capt cod) arrived about 1.15, followed by shaun about 1.25, has another coffee then me and Paul heads to the Doxford lake leaving Shaun talking to Davey, anyways i am first into a rainbow of about 2 lb, follwed by another of about 2 1/2lbs, Pauls misses a take, then i hooks into another rainbow about 3 1/2 lbs, then hooks into another rainbow, canny heavy, gets it to within about 10 feet from my net and SNAP, away it goes, then paul misses a take, followed by me missing 2 takes off the belt, then i gets another rainbow about 4lbs,I take a walk and quickly hooks into another approx 5lb, then i heads back to where paul is, just in time to see him hook into 1, but he released it before i had time to take a pic, followed by another as i was away from him, any way it ended up that i had 6 for approx 17 lbs, Paul had 3 for approx 6lbs.Shaun came down from the "Noose" ( beginners lake lol ) he had had a double take, landed 1 of them and got snapped off by the other.
Me and Paul left about 8.20 leaving Shaun still up at the noose,
So the final score was
6 to me, 2 missed on the take and 2 snap offs
3 to paul, 2 misses on the take and i think 1 snap off
2 to Shaun and 1 sanp off ( or spat the hook)
My favoured method today, jelly spiders on the point and flexi blood worms on 2 droppers
Had a great day, weather seemed spot on, not to hot or bright, little bits of rain.
anyway heres a few pics of the fish and the lakes
