  • Free line.

Just ordered 12 trout mags and have asked for the free airflow WF6 line.
Do you think this will be ok. My rod is a lureflash 9ft 6" wf 6-7.
I thought about the wf 7 but think it might be a tad heavy?.
    see attached for the offer.

Do you think wf 6 is ok for reservoirs.

I would have gone for at least the #7 for that rod.

I usually use #8's on my #7 weight but thats just personal preference.

All depends on how mhch line you 'aerialise' Mick - if you get a 'lot' in the air before the cast, the WF 6 would be O.K., alternatively, the WF 7 would suit.

It's all a question of 'Feel'. After a while you'll be able to 'sense' whether the balance is correct (on any rod you pick up)

my mate at work recommended the wf 7 so i rang them up and they have changed it.

I now would like to buy a greys 7-8 reel with the 3 spare spools for £50 but i,m spending a fortune lately on fishing gear. I am also watching a couple of good class intermediate and fast sinking lines i fancy. £30 each---her indoors would go mad if she knew.

        Mind i don,t smoke and don,t drink-----?.

get it baught mick mate! we give up valuable fishin time to go to work every day so should be abel to spend wor flippin monies on what we want!

if its the GRXi reel with spare spools and a bag and that you should snap it up, its a cracker and the spools are interchangable with grxi+, x-flight and other greys reels (suitable for sal****er etc.)

spend spend spend spend spend spend spend spend spend!
gettin a rod for wor lass, should be a good swap!

                Grxi reel

Mick before you buy your reel have a ride to Jubilee lakes near Darlington. I just bought the GRXi+ for £61 and it is a lot better than the standard reel. They also did me a cracking deal on airflo lines and backing all pre loaded - a lot cheaper than what you are saying.

The line i am looking at is masterline power. You get two for the price of one. So really it is only £30. They have some in Gary Evans shop.
I also know what you mean about the reels-they have cracking tackle up at the derwent and you can sometimes engineer a free days fishing if you spend so much.
At the moment i am watching my cash flow as i am getting married in Cyprus in May so i,m trying not to go overboard for a couple of months.
                  I fancy the grxi+.

I'm with Pete on the line weight, would have opted for teh #7 line, will load the rod more comfortably, especially in a wind
