Pottsy i was at Derwent yesterday and me and my young lad blankety blanked (except for a browny)-god knows what he thinks. His words yesterday were "dad how come you alaways catch fish when i,m not with you".
Think its just down to the conditions-when bad like yesterday the water looked like soup.
Yet last time out when better conditions late on you could see the fish feeding on the top.
I think next time worm fishing i,m going to get a couple of small feeders and some mixture to hoye inside. As to the fly its a case of the water settling.
      Mick.

I fish Higham a lot. Theres 3 lakes in total, the bottom lake which has been in for around 8 years has just recently been reopend as a specimin lake. The prices on this lakes start at £14 C&R.

The top two lakes were put in about 4 year ago and are very deep in places, down to about 30ft so a Hi-D line can come in handy. One of these lakes is a bait (worm, maggot) and fly lake and the other is fly only. The prices on here start at £9 C&R.

Ive had some great days up there and some cracking fish out of all the lakes. Very friendly, helpfull staff too.
