A great day trolling lures and also dead baiting .
To cut to the chase we had five Pike between us to 7lb and I got a 7.5 lb Bream ....another first for me ,what a day ,four seasons in one day as per usual "up that Scotland ".
Well done steve, its somthing that i have never tried ,is it as exiting as bait fishing, when your alarm starts to bleep ,or do you not have time ,as i imagine they will hit very hard and fast.anyhow keep up the good work ,look forward to reading your next report
Glad your still enjoying it steve , as for the bream , we were fishing Castle loch for pike many years ago , I can't remember what time of year it was but we were wading round the shores of the castle bank , now I might be getting mixed up with two seperate days here , but there was a vast shoal of bream lying on their side seemingly asleep in the shallows , we were spinning with toby lures for pike and the bream were taking them , properly taking them , not foul hooked , like I say , I can't remember whether it was the same day they were laying on their sides , but we definitely caught some big bream on toby's.
There are some big pike in there too Steve if you are looking for another venue (unless thats where you were lol) and the place usually produces quite a few fish in a day , I think they are a bit strict with fishing techniques and fish welfare these days , but you should be o.k. with your mate who seems to know the score.
