    And again

    Well we gave it another shot yesterday , fishing the usual tactics and bait we had a few runs and I managed two jacks ,one about 5lb and another around the 2lb mark ,they both gave a canny fight .

    My mate had a run and it looked like a good size fish by the way his rod was bent almost double ,unfortunately the fish got off so that was that .

    Roll on the next trip.
    You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

      Hae you tried spinning and plugging. Saves sitting in the cold waiting for a run. On the move all the time and bites are spetacular when they come. Baits are best for bigger ones though.

            Aye, nowt like a frosty morning down by the lake..
            I started piking last year and love it. My biggest so far is only 8lb.8 from bolam but still a great fight.
            It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face
