Wet a line at Chatton yesterday along with a couple of my mates and we had a great time, the wind got up a bit in the afternoon which made things a little difficult but the fish kept on coming.
Successful patterns were, Pinkies, Black fritz, Humungus lures and the old favourite Cats Whisker.
The fish appeared to be in the first four feet of water and takes were very soft, not the usual crash bang whollop that you sometimes come up against.
Some lovely brown trout were caught and safely released and the bows that we kept were fine quality and in the 3lb bracket.
The fishery is trickle stocked EVERY DAY and this this keeps the place very active, there were some really good fish topping and tailing so it won't be long before our next wet a line day at Chatton.
