Westhouse Trout Lakes
TROUTMASTERS VENUE
FISHING REPORT W/E 15/07/08
Strange Summer weather had made for some mixed fishing this week. The deluge of rain coloured the ponds and made fishing with lures such as Cats Whisker the method of choice. As the lakes are now starting to clear again its back to the small naturals fished on or sub surface.
Garry Shaw of Teeside had a good day landing 10 fish in total on a variety of small lure patterns. Ian Gillespie a Scottish visitor had an excellent day landing 7 fish including fish of 12lb 6oz and 9lb 2oz all caught using CDC Emergers. Peter Robinson of Crook also had a good session catching 6 fish the biggest of which was a perfect 14lb rainbow caught using a cats Whisker
An evening ticket is available with fishing from 4 – 10 pm for £8
Flies of the week :- Shuttlecock Emergers, Shipmans, Hares Ear, Black or Olive buzzers. Black Spinner, Black Spider, Black Beetle, Pheasant Tail Nymphs
