FISHING REPORT W/E 07/07/08
Mixed weather again this week is not spoiling the fishing. The rain is keeping the lakes nice and fresh with good oxygen levels the fishing has been excellent. Plenty of fish caught to dries and buzzers especially in the margins of Mill Lake which is crystal clear and ideal for stalking fish. Good evening rises with very small black patterns being the secret
Blyth Palmer caught a nice fish of 9 1/2lb this in the margins this week. Dr Peter Fletcher caught 20 fish using small dry patterns. John McGarrell had an excellent day catching 15 fish all on a size 18 Klinkhammer in the margins. Peter Jenkinson of Yarm landed a fish of 17lb (his best ever fish) caught using a size 16 Black Buzzer. Michael Smith of Durham had a mixed bag landing 4 trout, one carp of 14lb and a perch of 2lb all caught on bloodworms.
An evening ticket is available with fishing from 4 – 10 pm for £8
Flies of the week :- Shuttlecock Emergers, Shipmans, Hares Ear, Black or Olive buzzers. Black Spinner, Black Spider, Black Beetle, Pheasant Tail Nymphs
