Bit of a late post but better late than never.( How come my Smiley's ain't working?)
Started off slowly on a freezing cold morning and had a couple of fish to Gordon's scud, Green and White pattern, ventured down to the big lake and there were fish topping and tailing all over the place. They were obviously feeding just under the surface and they were being caught on black buzzers, CDC, and the main killer was a green buzzer with a silver rib.
I reckon between Ronnie, Sheppie and myself we must have caught and released over three dozen bows, it was good to chop and change patterns instead of keeping the main catching pattern on the end of our leaders, it allowed us to try some of our latest tyings some of which are now destined for the bin.
We packed in about 15.00, we were very satisfied with our trip to Witton so it is back to the map to sort out our next wet a line day.
