:Went today fished 1 till 5,left gateshead not a breath of wind got out the car at sweethope and the wind would hav blown a dog off its leeder..the kiss of death for fly fishing bright sunshine and windy
..went to the bottem lake the wind was pushing into the dam so started in the right hand corner. my setup was two rods one with a midge tip and buzzers and the other rod with a cortland blue and a yellow"gordie"Dancer on nothing for 2hrs just a couple of fish on and loads of pulls but the fish would not stick,the last 2hrs the wind died down and it clowded over and the fish came on finished with 9 and had one 10lb 6oz
which took all my line off..had 1 fish on a black n green scud and the other 8 on a yellow"gordie"dancer on cortland blue with o slow roly poly retrieve..nothing on buzzers or any nymphs...micky
