3 of us was at Sweethope yesterday i had 3 rainbows on a small olive fritz and 3 rainbows on the white scud the middle one in Sless's pic but with the green body {on my other post about scuds}.
Missed a few and got snapped off twice.
first one that snapped me was a nice fish second one smashed my gear very fast and didnt see that one.
Mate had 2 rainbows and a lovley brownie about 4-5 pounds {released} all his fish fell to a litttle fly {silver body black wings} not a lure,not sure what it was only one he had in box.
Brother blanked {but lost a couple} he tried all sorts like the rest of us,was pretty hard work as the wind was strong.
Was impossible to fish the big lake,looked like the north sea on a easterly,so we stopped in the small lake.
Seen a woman using a lure she told me it was called broken heart bit like a mini cats whisker but it had a red tale,she was doing very well.
Most fish i seen landed fell to white lures and a couple on Montana nymphs.
