Another successful day on the lakes. Was toying with the idea of whether I was going to fish or not while I was on my way - decided if there were no fish topping I wasn't gonna bother as was only interested in some surface action!
Arrived about 1pm, few fish surfacing but not nearly as many as earlier in the week. Hummed and harred for a bit then decided "what the hell" and got the gear out.
Stuck with my usual favourite pattern, suspended buzzer, this time tied with hares ear as I'd had success earlier in the week with this colour.
4 hours
7 fish, biggest probably between 4 and 5 lb.
Fished with Gary most of the afternoon who had similar success with the same pattern.
Will take a good days dry fly fishing over nymphs and buzzers any day so over the moon!
Now humming and harring whether to go back tomorrow!
