Hi Fella's, just got back home from our visit to Chatton so I thought I would drop you a couple of lines.
Arrived at the fishery about 8.45 this morning to find the lake frozen over, Allisons husband was in the boat trying his best to break up the ice and I must say , the way he rocked the boat I thought he would have ended up in the drink. Happy to say he did'nt and he saved the day as we were fishing very shortly after 9.00

The first hour went by without so much as a tap on the fly, I put a fast sink line on and a Black and Green Zonker and after a couple of chucks I had a smashing take on the lift. When I got the fish to the net it was a cracking fin perfect brownie in the region of 3 1/2lbs, the fish was released and swam off no bother.

My mate Ronnie had three fish using a floating line and mini lures, Sheppie dispatched a couple of rainbows which were caught on a Bibio.
I caught another couple of bows on a mini lure, Brown tail, peacock herl body, a copper polar chennille collar and a 3mm tungsten bead for the head.

All the fish were in the 2lb bracket but were fin perfect, cracking quality fish, the owners of the fishery were very, very pleasant people and all in all we had a good day.

Thanks to Cats Taxi who kept us right about the conditions, without our wellies etc we would have been up to the eyes, the place is still in its infancy and the ground at the water line is soft and really muddy.

Thats it guys, off for a shower and a bite to eat.

Alan , I have'nt got the address but the phone number is 01668-215226
        mobile 07966361424.

The best way to get there is to travel North up the A1, take the first left after the Purdy Lodge, it is signposted Chatton and Highland Cattle.
Travel for approx 4 miles and you will see a football field on the right, the fishery is the first turnoff to the left. It is sign posted.

        Prices 4hrs 2fish then c/r £15 C/r 2hrs £8
        5hrs 3fish then c/r £18 C/r 4hrs £12
        6hrs 3fish then c/r £22 C/r 6hrs £16 15 fish
        8hrs 4fish then c/r £25. C/r 8hrs £19 20 fish

        Hope this helps mate.

        Cheers seddo
