Had a 6hr bash at Tweeddale yesterday along with Sheppie and Callaghan48.
It would have been better travelling up there in a boat as the rain was torrential and you could hardly see a thing, Johns driving saved the day.
FISHERY CHANGES
In the past I have championed Tweeddale as a fishery with a minimum stocking of 3lb fish. The stocking is now classed as a mixed bag, Some big fish and quite a few below the 3lb mark.
You can now pick and choose which fish you care to dispatch until you reach your bag limit, catch and release is still on after you have caught your bag.
I have just made the above point as I would not like members to travel to Tweeddale using my previous posts as a guide to fish size.
Fishing on the day was hard, probably due to following the numbers that fished the weekend.
I managed to catch 4 on CDCs, all released for another day.
John caught his bag using his Damsel Pattern, cracking fly's.
Sheppie caught 3 or 4 using various patterns.
Will be back up there in a week or so to see how things are, maybe more towards the end of the week when the fish are settled.
Cheers
