Hello,
I am up at the caravan for a couple of days and fancied a trip to Chatton. I nearly didn't go as I had my dog on the beach first thing and it was bloody freezing with a stiff North Westerly blowing but it cheered up a bit and I was at the fishery for just after ten in the morning and fishing for about half past.
I just stayed on the bottom lake and I paid for a two fish kill ticket as I had promised someone a fish. I started off with a Minkie Cat on the point and a small black and green Cormorant type lure on the dropper. After an hour I thought I'd made the wrong decision buying a kill ticket as I only had one take and I lost it!!
A change to a flexi bloodworm twitched along the bottom brought instant results with little nips and pulls eventually resulting in this four pounder that fought like a fish twice the size.
A move to near the lodge saw me get another just under five pound and my third fish was even bigger and would have made six pound easy and was returned as I had my limit.
I headed off at just before two p.m. to weigh the fish in the lodge quite happy with my little session. These were in the carpark, the results of the mornings shoot by the looks of it.
Thanks for looking fellas, hope you like the report. Regards Ian
